PARTICIPATION AT THE CONFERENCE

The theme for the one day conference is: “ Expanding trade and investment relationships between Africa and the UK.” The core of participation at the conference will comprise individual award winners and representatives of enterprise/institutional winners, all of whom are automatically eligible to attend the conference. The organizers, based on the recommendations of their research consultants will also invite selected key stakeholders with regards to trade and investment between Africa and the UK. They will include representatives of multilateral and sovereign institutions charged with responsibility for promoting facilitating and regulating trade and investment between the two regions, public policy makers and implementing agencies as well as business support service providers and identified major trading enterprises, manufacturers and entrepreneurs/investors.

CONFERENCE FORMAT

The conference will be held over a full working day, starting at 8.30 am local time and ending at 4.00pm with a one hour lunch break. Awardees are required to attend physically in person while other invited participants have the option of attending in person or by zoom. However the organizers will actively encourage in-person attendance since it provides the participants with a unique opportunity to network with potential trade counterparties, investment partners and other value chain participants.

The conference will provide a keynote address and four expert presentations each of which will be followed by a question and answer session and group discussions.
